THE HISTORY 1985-2008

1985: The Cooperative Agri 2000 starts its activity and carries out its first field experimental tests together with the cultivation of a Farm Business.

1985: Creation of three departments: Research & Development (R & D), Economy & Marketing (E & M), Agriculture & Environment (A & E).

1992: Agri 2000 leads the first survey concerning the services supplied by CCIAA (Chamber of Commerce for Industry, Handicrafts and Agriculture) for the agricultural and food sector in Veneto, Emilia Romagna and Lombardia (Italy).

1995: Agri 2000 develops a survey concerning the European OP (Producers’ Organizations) associative forms.

1995: The A & E Department promotes safety and availability of parks and gardens through the spread of the VTA (Visual Tree Assessment) method and the check of the minimum qualifications which make a green area usable.

1995: Agri 2000 becomes the first company of its sector to be systematically involved in a global service (Bologna municipality) for private and public Italian managers of parks and gardens (mainly municipal administrations).

1997: Agri 2000 opens the operative office of Foggia for the south of Italy.

1998: The Quality & Innovation Department starts and develops its activity carrying out a consulting work concerning food quality and safety to end with traceability, sensory analysis and environmental matters.
Agri 2000 gives assistance to the first product certification in Italy.

1999: Agri 2000 is the first company accredited by MIPAF (Ministry of agricultural and forestry policies) leading officially acknowledged field tests.

1999: The portal www.solotipico.it - a virtual shop selling quality and of guaranteed origin products – is created within the activities of Economy & Marketing.

1999: Agri 2000 opens the operative office of Vercelli for the north of Italy.

2000: The Agriculture & Environment Department turns its name into Environment and Urban Green Spaces, and moves from studies and consults concerning the relationship between agricultural activities and environment to a deeper specialization within ornamental green.

2000: Agri 2000 – within the Economy & Marketing Department – proves to be a qualified reality at national level for the improvement of typical products, territorial marketing and the economic relationships within the agricultural and food filière.

2000: The cooperative – within the Business-Marketing Department – creates the portal www.terredibologna.it, the first Italian territorial marketing website about rural areas and developed with: Bologna Provincial Administration, Bologna and Agricultural cooperatives CCIAA; Coldiretti, Confagricoltura and Cia(Italian Farmers confederation) of Bologna province.

2000: Agri 2000 opens an operative office also in Catania.

2003: Agri 2000 – through its Quality & Innovation Department – joins the sector of the global maintenance management service thanks to the quality coordination by Bologna Più: a company entrusted with the global maintenance service of Bologna municipal heritage.

2003: The cooperative promotes – together with Syntech Research – the first international web for agronomic experimentation works and researches in which take part – among the others - the U.S.A., the United Kingdom, France and Spain.

2004: Agri 2000 files a patent for a vegetable news: the European plum tree variety named Maria Novella which is characterized by really innovative features like its earliness, its size and the organoleptic characteristics.
Maria Novella is the result of a genetic improvement activity which started in 1991 and which represents the first of a series of vegetable news for which patents will be filed in the next years.

2004: Agri 2000 carries out tests of sensorial analysis to weigh up the impact of products used for the phytosanitary defence. We are talking about the cooperation between Q & I and R & D. The method used is innovative as far as the test accuracy is concerned, thanks to data reliability.

2005: Agri 2000 is the first company of its sector to study and identify the aggregation forms more suitable for the maintenance of Emilia Romagna farm businesses efficiency, identifying a new definition for farm business: the aggregated farm business.

2005: Agri 2000 starts a laboratory of nematologic analysis.

2007: Agri 2000 started its regulatory office that completes the services range that we are able to supply to Crop Protection and Plant Genetics.

2008: Agri 2000 has established a new company called Agri2000 Net srl that able to operate in international for Crop Protection and Plant Genetics and represents an European registered CRO's network for the execution of agronomic experimental trials both GLP and GEP compliant, market research and support for registration.
